2.What was your experience like being involved in the Imibala festival?
” One of the greatest highlights has been the exposure to homegrown talent. Imibala always offers something or someone new, which speaks to the hidden talent in the Eastern Cape.” A. Schneider, Station manager Bay fm
3. Where do you see Imibala festival going in the next three years?
“We hope that Imbala exposes and encourages growth in all genres, as well as greater diversity in performances. It would be great to see artists collaborating more and emerging artists being bold enough to create new sounds and trends, in the industry. No need to reinvent the wheel, but no harm in having some fun with it! Should Imibala persist, it can and should establish itself as a sought after platform for exposure of local talent”. A. Schneider, Station manager Bay Fm

“Because I saw the economic impact it has on the small business owners who were vendors there. I love the idea of promoting local artists because they have so much to offer and need the recognition and platforms. Lupuwana, Managing director, Chumile Holdings
4. Where do you see Imibala going in the next three years?
“I want it to get to the recognition like the Grahamstown arts festival even the Cape Town jazz festival, where it will be an international festival, a very huge one and where it incorporates different Arts from fine artists, poets, grafitti artists, crafters, fashion designers, all sorts of arts. I want it to be huge.
We can even encorporate a fashion show on one of the festival days, to promote local talent.
I would like to see more corporate sponsors, NMB tourism sponsoring, Mandela foundation sponsoring and many more so that we all help to make this festival a success. I want it to offer workshops to upcoming artists in the different fields of art.If we can dream it, surely we can achieve it.” V. Lupuwana, Managing director, Chumile Holdings
